Lilly After{Math} Party

Anyone else a Lilly lover, like myself?
This year's After Party Summer Sale was definitely the talk of the preppy female world, as usual. I tried to resist ordering anything, but alas, that was an epic fail. Like, who am I kidding?
There were so many cute prints to choose from, in addition to the rush of knowing that if you don't check out in time, your items will either get removed from your cart because your sorority girl next door neighbor loved the same patterned dress as you in that size {probably sitting in her pajamas on her bed, or still even under her covers, just like you...} OR {even worse as this creates panic across the interwebs and dark bedrooms across America of cranky girls awake early to get that one special scarf on sale} the website will crash (dun dun dunnnnn)
...all provides a perfect atmosphere for the massive storm that is the Lilly Pulitzer Sale.
Here's what I managed to walk away with:
(before 8:00am Monday... just a few hours after the sale opened up... I should be ashamed, but... yolo)

This adorable Eliza V-Neck T-Shirt Dress in Spa Blue Jellies be Jammin
I liked this because it will be cute for work or a casual social occasion! I really went for "dual purpose" this round of the Lilly sale- I wanted to be able to wear everything to work, but still feel like I could wear it for fun!

Introducinggggggggggg *cue obnoxious wrestler announcer voice*.... my first ever Lilly maxi dress!
Nigella Boatneck Maxi Dress in Resort White in the Garden.
I loved the light, fun pattern, the boat neck cut, and that you can definitely style the waist with a cute belt if you wanted to break up the length or emphasize your hour-glass shape.

Lastly, I feasted my eyes upon this cute number and decided I had to have it (I get that feeling a lot when shopping... hmmm).
Cara Dolman Sleeve Dress in Multi Lulu
This pattern just screams "Hello Kaleigh Farmer, I was made for you"- I love the brightness, the tropical flare, the flamingos, and the emphasis of pink. All around perfection.

So what did Lilly Pulitzer, the Goddess of Palm Beach (RIP) and bright colors, suck you into buying this year? Was it a new scarf, a dress you've been lusting over for months, or one of those Elsa tops I just couldn't bring myself to add to my shopping cart for additional blow to my bank account...?

Now the real Lilly After{Math} Party begins... incessant checking of FedEx to see where in the United States your precious items are until they reach your front door step.
(Anyone else never heard of Hagerstown, MD before?)

Sunday Blues

Hi blog world, hope y'all have had a wonderful weekend.
I'm currently suffering from some Sunday blues. Why? Who the hell knows. I have everything in the world to be happy about- I'm working, no one in my family or close friends are sick, my doggy(s) are doing wonderful, my man is pure gold…
But every now and then, I just get down. I'm suffering from some post-grad problems I'm sure. I miss having people at my fingertips, I miss being able to make spontaneous trips to target with a car full of girls. I miss having gals to lady-date at cute restaurants with, as an excuse to wear all the cute clothes and wedges we have in our closets. Maybe it's because I subconsciously know all my younger sisters are heading back to the sorority house for pre-recruitment this weekend and I subconsciously am dreading (pure jealousy) all the happiness that will be my social media feeds of "reunited and it feels so good"… As I sit on my couch in my PJs, eating rice cakes, watching Bravo re-runs while hearing the dogs snore their heads of… When did Kaleigh Farmer become a loser? I suppose tomorrow I will wake up with a completely different perspective,  as those close to me have reminded me that I just joined an organization that should help put out these feelings of, jesus, is it loneliness that I'm feeling? Anyway, I digress...
So as a way to cheer myself up, I found myself on blogger and clicked that little "write post" button. So let's flash back this week and tell this L-seven WEEEEEEENIE what a fun week I actually had.
{MONDAY}

I got to meet Princess Lilli, my coworkers adorable lab puppy, finally! How precious is she? I love her "cleopatra" eyes as her fur mommy refers to them as. What a perfect way to start the day at work!

{TUESDAY}
 My #OOTD. Find my outfit details on instagram {here}.
After a long day at work, I stopped by a local Mayor fundraiser. It was great to catch up with old friends and check out a local candidate. I also made it in time to join some other friends and my ginga for some Seinfeld trivia.

ALSO, my Erin Condren planner finally came! I'm in love! It's been so helpful to have this little thing to keep me on track!

{WEDNESDAY}

I snapped this little beauty outside the infamous club pub (and no I was not there to get crab legs…)
#NoFilter.
Kinda nice when God gives you a little wave from up above.

Found this and immediately thought of one of my best friends, Knowles. Thank you Henri Girl for keeping me laughing for a solid 10 minutes.
{Also if you have never shopped with them, do it. They have some of the cutest clothes!}

It was also the last day, well technically her last day was Thursday and I wasn't going to be in the office, of my intern! She has been so helpful this summer and she's such a gem. I'm so lucky that I first met her through my sisterhood, and that she was able to come help me out this summer. I am so proud of all that she has accomplished, as she just graduated from FSU and is off to finish her hospitality hours with another internship in Jacksonville! Go Claire Bear!

{THURSDAY}

Thursday was spent driving down to Miami. Can I just explain how it feels to be in the car for 8 hours? It's terrible. But this view definitely made it worth it. Talk about an amazing view.

 Once our work event was finished, I was able to watch a lightning show on the bay from my hotel room. Caught this little gem just in time.

{FRIDAY}

Watched the rain roll in during sunrise. Spectacular view of the water and downtown Miami.

Spent another 8 hours in the car heading back to Tallahassee. I was so happy to greeted by my blonde baby and this guy…

{SATURDAY}

JLT hosted their Summer Salad Social for new members.

Dress: Trending Now
Accessories: Alex & Ani, Trending Now, Michael Kors
Wedges: Steve Madden (old- Similar Here)

All of the treats and yummy things you see here are from the Junior League of Tallahassee Cook Book! Check it out here!

{TODAY}

Consisted of sitting on the couch and being emo.
{lolol… but really. I feel ridiculous because I have so much to be grateful for, sometimes the little things in life just start to pick at you.}

Going to change perspective and start the coming week with a good attitude.
Do you ever have moments that you need to reflect to realize how wonderful things actually are?

Happy August?

Well hi there, Blog World... these past few weeks have been rather busy!
{work work work work work ... Did I mention work?}
Here's what has been going on lately…

Happy August?! I can't believe it's already into the first week of August.
 Two weekends ago I took a trip back home becauseeeeee… *drum roll please*
THE FARMER FAMILY IS MOVING!
It's really happening people! We have purchased a 5 acre ranch with an adorable home, horse barn and lots of room for my Dad to keep progressing with this hobby of Porsche racing. So it's time to pack up and move on down the road about 7 minutes. Praying for an easy and quick move!

While I was home I began packing up what's left of my belongings in my bedroom. I came across my first communion dress, and my veil. Side Note: My communion photos might be some of the worlds most awkward photos of me... Anyway, the veil is the most sentimental to me, it was my Mom's and she saved it for when she had a daughter one day to wear. I'll never forget how NOT pleased I was at the time (In 3rd grade you don't want to wear mom's hammy-down veil, ew), but as I've gotten older I've completely fallen in love with this idea. I will absolutely be doing the same, so here's to hoping it won't be yellow by them... and that I have a daughter one day.

I also came across some real high school GEMS to say the least. Helloooo Senior Pictures.

{Look at that hair. YIKES}

This is one a friend shot of me for her photography class. Brandon's Next Top Model? Yeah.. No.

I got to spend an evening with Kyle's family at his parents home. How sweet is it that...
A. He grew up about 5 minutes away from house (and we never knew each other growing up? Bizarre)
B. His grandparents live on the same street as his parents!!
Here is my look for a sweet cookout dinner with his parents and grandparents:
{Dress is from Loft, kudos to Mama Farm for letting my steal that little number.. Paired with Jack Rogers, Texturized Gold Hoop Earrings, and my usual MK watch and Alex & Ani stack}

We topped our weekend at home off with some horseback riding at RVR Horse Rescue (keep up with them on Facebook here!), where we adopted and now board Rhett. This was Kyle's first time ever riding a horse and he was such a natural!

Back in Tallahassee, I got to catch up with some great friends at one of my favorite little Italian places, Bella Bella. They have this amazeballs "bubble bread" appetizer that is to die for. But literally, you will probably die sooner after eating it- I never said it was healthy.

I mentioned something about work earlier. That I've been doing a lot of that recently. I was recently in Orlando, and if you follow me on Instagram {and if you don't, you should} you saw that I was having a great hair day while executing a meeting at Disney. WHYYYY can this not happen to me on a Friday or Saturday night when I want it to do this? Check out my work wear from this day!

I took the day off last Friday because I wasn't feeling great. You know when you just feel run down and that if you push yourself you're going to get sick? Well that whole "R&R" deal I was going for lasted until about 11 a.m. and I felt like I needed to do something with my day to be productive. I mustered the energy to go to Target to fully take advantage of the tax-free weekend in Florida and spruce up my little fridge space!

It has been needing a makeover, so here is what I managed to create:
{1} Dry Erase Magnetic Month Calendar - Since I am in between planners currently, I feel like I am all over the place! Trying to remember social engagements, work projects, Junior League training's, doctors appointments and so on is tough when you can't just write it down! I took a few photo-wall adhesive strips, applied them to the back of the calendar and stuck it to the fridge so this puppy isn't going anywhere!
{2} Color Coded Organization - I found these adorable mini dry erase markers to help color code all the things I have going on! Example: Written in orange are my Junior League commitments, red are my Sweat Therapy classes, pink are fun social things, etc.
{3} Mesh Magnetic Pencil Holder - These are actually designed for lockers?! Who knew the world of middle school could get that cute? It works perfectly for my mini dry erase markers and any pens that seem to disappear only when you need them...
{4} Metal Clip Magnets - These are the perfect way to not lose track of any party invitations, photos, you name it.
{5} "Don't Forget" List - I picked this baby up a few months ago from the dollar section of Target (usually when you first walk in the store). It's definitely come in handy when making grocery lists!

As you can see on my handy-dandy calendar, my parents were here this weekend! My baby brother is moving into a new house with his roommates two streets over from me! We are walking distance away from each other now, which will be fun! It was definitely a long weekend of moving, in and out of cars, up and down three flights of stairs a bunch of times, but their house looks like it's coming together!

Dad also let me take a ride in his baby...

That's all for now, y'all!
What kind of fun stuff have you been doing?
